DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University men's tennis senior
Alex Donnelly and sophomores
Florian Bert,
Lucas Fiandra, and
Rafael Jodas were named with 2025-26 Academic All-District distinction from the College Sports Communicators, announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Donnelly, who hails from Naas, Ireland, recorded a 14-6 record in doubles to go along with a 3-2 ledger in singles matches. This marks the third consecutive year that Donnelly has been honored with CSC accolades.
Bert, hailing from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, went 10-12 in singles this season, but achieved a 17-7 record in doubles matches, where he was undefeated in ODAC play at 9-0. Bert was named Sophomore Male Athlete of the Year at Averett's Night of Champions.
Fiandra, hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, had the second-most singles wins for the Cougars with 17, and also went 14-8 in his doubles matches in 2025-26. Fiandra was awarded one of the top sophomore GPAs at Averett's Night of Champions.
Jodas, who hails from São Paulo, Brazil, finished his season with a 5-8 singles ledger, and went 14-6 in doubles matches, which included an 8-2 record from the No. 3 slot.
The men's tennis program's tally for CSC awards jumps to eight, making it the first time that Averett has had three or more named to the All-District team in a single season.
