Averett University’s Department of Athletics invites you to play in the annual Cougar Golf Classic. The event, scheduled for this year on Friday, June 11 (rain date is June 18), at Goodyear Golf Club in Danville, Virginia, has become a signature event for Averett Athletics and annually serves as a primary fundraiser to directly benefit the student-athlete experience.
This year's Cougar Golf Classic will feature two tee time options (8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.).
Registration is $500 per team and includes the following: greens fees, golf cart, lunch, refreshments, mulligans (included in the team package), Averett gift and the opportunity to win awards and prizes, as well as the opportunity to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets.

2027 Cougar Golf Classic details:
- 4-person teams with minimum of 30 handicap
- Registration is $500 per team
- Shotgun tee time at 8 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
- Captain's Choice
- Range balls and putting green available to your team 30 minutes prior to tee time
- Lunch, beverages and snacks will be provided
- Mulligans included for each team
- Limited registration for the event (so register quickly before it fills up!)
- More than $1,000 in cash prizes
- Closest to the pin contest
- Longest drive competition
- Longest putt competition
- 50/50 raffle
