DANVILLE, Va. – Year three under Averett University women's soccer head coach
Colton Dutchess takes shape, as the Cougars announced their fall schedule with times.
Averett opens up the season at Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium versus Pfeiffer University on Sept. 1. Eight days later, the Cougars head down US-29 to battle Greensboro College.
"I am very excited for the upcoming season and getting this group back on the field," Dutchess said. "I'm looking forward to see what we can accomplish this year."
On Sept. 12, the Cougars return home for a home game versus Mary Baldwin University. Averett then heads down to Methodist, North Carolina to take on the Methodist University Monarchs.
A two-game homestand follows, with the Cougars' Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener against Randolph College on Sept. 23. September concludes with a showdown versus last season's conference champions, Washington and Lee University, on the 30th.
October begins with a pair of road ODAC games, as the Cougars head to in-state rivals Shenandoah University and the University of Lynchburg on the 3rd and 7th, respectively. Two days later, Averett heads back to Daly Field, as it battles Randolph-Macon College. On Oct. 14, the Cougars host Sweet Briar College.
After two more contests away from home, the season arrives at Averett's home finale against Batten University, ODAC championship finalists, on Oct. 24. The Cougars' last regular season contest is at Hollins University on Oct. 28.
The ODAC tournament is scheduled to begin on Oct. 31.
