BRIDGEWATER, Va. — Averett University women's golf representative
Meredith Pegram showed well Monday with a top-10 finish in round one of the Bridgewater College Invitational.
Pegram finished the day at 7 over par, placing her at T-9, just two strokes back of the top five.
Finishing with 12 pars, Pegram will enter Tuesday with a chance for consecutive top-10 finishes in the first two invitationals of the fall.
Marymount University holds the top spot on the team leaderboard after round one, shooting 17 over par and holding a commanding lead over second-place Salisbury University, which shot 31 over par.
Averett will return to action Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for round two as Pegram looks to secure another top-10 finish.
