LYNCHBURG, Va. — Averett University men's soccer kept it close in the first half, but Randolph used a three-goal second half to defeat the Cougars 5-0 on Saturday night.
Averett (0-5) generated six total shots in the game, two of which were on goal.
Gabriel Fore and
Moses Kashindi each recorded a shot on goal.
Leading the way for Randolph (4-3-1) was Sage Dombrovskis with two goals on three total shots.
The Cougars saw
Ryan Barnes add four saves to his season tally of 30. That total tied Randolph goalkeeper Dominic Cortes for second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in saves.
Freshman forward
Michael Milligan recorded the first shot of his collegiate career after coming off the bench for Bradley Bizzell's squad.
Averett will return home for its next match Wednesday, Sept. 30, when it takes on Methodist University in its final non-conference game of the season.
