"At Averett University, I was part of a greater community. Attending Averett gave me the unique opportunity to play football and obtain an athletic training degree - something that is typically not permitted by most institutions. This flexibility offered me the opportunity to balance academic, athletic and social experiences and taught me how to manage what is important in the moment and plan for what will be important in the future. Not only did I earn a top education from the University, I took away countless friendships that remain important to me to this day. My decision to attend Averett University was initially one of uncertainty, but has since proved to be one of the most important decisions I have made.
