Averett University’s Department of Athletics has two main strength training facilities available for current student-athletes and staff. Located within the Grant Center, adjacent to the Athletic Training Room, is one of the two strength and conditioning facilities. The Grant Center weight room is approximately 1,250 square feet and is the main facility for women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's golf and women's basketball. Located conveniently across from the gymnasium, the Grant Center Weight Room houses three half racks complete with barbells, Lock-Jaw barbell collars, TRX straps, and a total of 745 pounds of plate weight. Additionally, the room is equipped with dumbbells ranging from 5 up to 75 pounds, resistance bands, kettlebells, plyometric boxes, and cardio equipment including a treadmill, fan bike, row machine and resistance bike.
 
The football and lacrosse field house is home to Averett University’s second strength training facility. The larger of the two facilities, this weight room is approximately 1,512 square feet and is the main facility for the football team, men's and women's lacrosse, men's soccer, wrestling, men's basketball, baseball and softball. This facility is strategically placed between Daly Field and a grass practice field for easy access. The field house weight room houses five half racks and two full power racks complete with 2 barbells for each rack, Lock-Jaw barbell collars, and a total of 775 pounds of plate weight. Additionally, the field house weight room is equipped with dumbbells ranging from 5 up to 120 pounds, resistance bands, two sets of plyometric boxes and a wide variety of slam balls.
