Averett University Athletics

Christopher Rooney joined the Averett University baseball program as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2017.

A native of Sandy Hook, Virginia, Rooney worked as a baseball manager for three seasons while attending Liberty University. He also has served as a pitching coaching for a travel baseball organization, the Short Pump Bandits, since December 2013.

Rooney graduated from Liberty in May 2017 with a bachelor's degree in sport management.
