Eric Sibrizzi

Eric Sibrizzi has served as an assistant coach on the Averett baseball staff since 2011 after playing four seasons for the Cougars.

A native of Clayton, N.C., Sibrizzi was selected as the Averett Cougar Club Male Athlete of the Year following his senior season in which he was named to the USA South All-Conference Honorable Mention Team as a third baseman and picked as Averett's representative on the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team.

A member of the Academic All-Conference Team, Sibrizzi also earned numerous all-conference honors. During his freshman season, he was named the USA South Conference Rookie of the Year, was selected to the USA South All-Conference First Team and the USA South All-Tournament Team as a second baseman, and he was an Honorable Mention All-Region selection. He was named to the USA South All-Conference Honorable Mention team as a sophomore.

Sibrizzi finished his career with a .337 batting average, 93 RBIs, 118 runs scored and 21 doubles. As a senior, he led the nation in sacrifice hits.
