Brent Skipper joined the Averett football program in the summer of 2014 as an assistant coach after playing four seasons for the Cougars. He also serves as a strength and conditioning coach. After previously coaching rovers, Skipper is coaching safeties in 2016.
A native of Mount Dora, Florida, Skipper was a defensive back for Averett from 2010-2013. In 31 career games, Skipper totaled 82 tackles and returned one blocked punt for a touchdown. He also succeeded in the classroom, earning USA South Academic All-Conference honors multiple times.
Skipper is pursuing his master's degree in business adminsitration from Averett.
