J.D. Tyree

J.D. Tyree joins the Averett staff as the Tight Ends Coach in 2012. Tyree attended Columbia University, where he played two seasons of football before his collegiate career was cut short due to injury. In high school, he was an All-Region player at tight end and defensive line.

The Martinsville, Va., native graduated in 2012 from Columbia with a degree in History. Prior to joining Averett’s staff, he coached two summers at Magna Vista High School.
