Nick Carter rejoined the Averett University men's soccer program coaching staff during the fall 2024 season. Carter originally served as an assistant with the men's soccer program from August 2014 through the 2016 season.
A native of Bath, England, Carter returned to Averett after playing three seasons and earning his bachelor's degree in psychology from the university in 2013. Carter appeared in 18 games over three years and was selected to the 2012 USA South Conference All-Sportsmanship Team. Carter also succeeded in the classroom, earning USA South Academic All-Conference honors.
Following the completion of his degree in only three years, Carter returned to England, where he continued his playing career for the Richmond International and Academic Soccer Academy (RIASA) while studying for a master's degree in sport and exercise psychology at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Carter holds an FA Level 1 and two qualifications and his previous coaching experiences includes time with the Bath City Community Foundation. In February 2015, Carter attended the NCAA's Emerging Leaders seminar.
Carter completed his master's of business administration from Averett in 2016.
