Justus Baldwin joined the Averett University women's basketball program as an assistant coach in October 2023.
Baldwin played his final two seasons collegiately at Division II Shaw University, where he played 47 games and averaged 8.2 points in 34 starts over two seasons. Previously, he was a JUCO All-American at Wake Tech Community College following one season at Vance-Granville Community College.
Baldwin is no stranger to Averett. His brother Corey played for the Cougars and was an all-conference performer.
Baldwin has worked with Raleigh Parks & Recreation as a counselor, as well as tutored with the Boys & Girls Club in Raleigh.
A native of Henderson, North Carolina, Baldwin earned his bachelor's degree in business (recreation management) from Shaw in May 2023.
