Katie Kollar has served as a graduate-assistant on the Averett women's basketball coaching staff since July 2012.
A native of upstate New York, Kollar is a graduate of Nazareth College, where she played four years at shooting guard. Kollar was a co-captain her junior and senior year and averaged 11.7 points per game her senior year at Nazareth. She received Empire 8 Athletic Conference Honorable Mention Team honors and she was named to the Wendy’s Classic All-Tournament Team. Kollar also broke the Nazareth College single season 3-point record her senior year.
In addition, Kollar was a head coach for an AAU organization out of Rochester, N.Y., for the past two seasons. She coached a U-16 Rochester Warriors girls’ team, and then a U-17 Rochester Warriors girls’ team over the course of two years.
Kollar graduated from Nazareth in 2012 with a degree in business administration with a concentration in sports management. She is currently working on her MBA at Averett.
