Molly Bateman joins the Averett women's basketball program as an assistant coach for the 2011-12 season.
A native of New Weston, Ohio, Bateman is a graduate of Defiance College where she played four years at shooting guard. Bateman averaged 10.1 points per game and was a co-captain during her senior season. She received Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention Team honors and she was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Bateman was also the Defiance College Female Sportsmanship Award winner in 2011 and made the dean's list all four years.
Bateman graduated from Defiance in 2011 with a degree in social work with a minor in autism studies. She is currently working on her MBA at Averett.
