Ashlyn Hardie

Ashlyn Hardie joined the Averett University women’s soccer staff as an assistant coach and goalkeepers coach in July 2015.

Hardie came to Averett from Wingate University, where she gained useful experience as a coach, working with Wingate International Soccer Academy for four years in addition to assisting with the Charlotte Soccer Academy Goalkeeping Clinic.

Prior to joining Averett's coaching staff, Hardie gained valuable knowledge as a goalkeeper for the Wingate women’s soccer program, where she led the squad to three South Atlantic Conference Tournament championships along with a Southeastern Regional championship in 2014 while serving as the team’s captain.

Hardie had a decorated playing career, picking up several awards throughout her time at Wingate including being named the MVP of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament in 2014 and earning a First Team SAC Tournament nod the same year. She was also a two-time selection to the All-SAC Team and earned two All-Southeast Region Goalkeeper awards as well. In 2014, she was also named the Disney National Player of the Week.  In addition to these honors, Hardie’s senior season saw her not allow a goal in over 1,000 minutes and earned the Outstanding Woman of the School of Sports Sciences Award in 2015.

In 2016, Hardie also gained coaching experience by training a Trinidad & Tobago National Team goalkeeper. She also is the goalkeepers coach for the 2016 Lady Dynamo of the WPSL.

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Hardie graduated in 2015 from Wingate and holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management. She is currently pursuing her master’s of business administration from Averett.
