Averett football junior Hobie Proctor kicked what turned out to be the game-winning field goal late in the fourth quarter to give the Cougars a 20-17 victory over Washington and Lee University on Sept. 6. Proctor hit both field goal attempts and both extra points in the win. He earned USA South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors on Monday.
