Averett (5-9, 2-1 USA South) hosts USA South Conference rival Christopher Newport University (6-7, 1-1 USA South) on Saturday at approximately 4 p.m. at the Grant Center. The game will start 30 minutes following the completion of the women's game, which tips off at 2 p.m.

Fans are asked to participate in Saturday's "White Out" by wearing white shirts and white accessories to the game.

The Cougars are coming off a 21-point win on the road at Methodist University on Wednesday. The Captains, meanwhile, had dropped three straight before knocking off N.C. Wesleyan College 89-79 earlier in the week.

All ticket proceeds will be donated to the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. In addition, the Averett men's soccer team is holding a clothing drive for the earthquake victims. Anyone wishing to donate clothing may drop off items in the Grant Center lobby on the North Campus. Clothing pickups can also be arranged by calling men's soccer coach Ed Goodhines at (434) 791-5749.
