DANVILLE, Va. — Seven Averett University student-athletes participated in the Danville Reads program at Danville Mall this week.

Approximately 100 local kids were in attendance as part of the Southside Readers group. Averett's student-athletes were on hand to discuss balancing academics and athletics while promoting reading. The Cougars also signed autographs for the kids.

Averett has continued its partnership with the Danville Reads program and the Danville Mall this semester after collaborating last school year multiple times.
