DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 conference loss to Methodist University on Friday evening.
 
The women fell in doubles play early with two 8-0 defeats and tried to come back in singles play, but the Cougars couldn't pull out any wins.  
 
The team returns to the court on Saturday to host conference foe Meredith College.
