MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Averett University women's tennis team were unable to pull out a win in a 9-0 conference loss to Huntingdon College on Sunday afternoon.
Averett's women fell in all three doubles matches, but junior
Jessie Gomes tried to stay in the game in the No. 2 singles match against Sarah Warren. Gomes was close in the first set only falling 6-4, but eventually fell 6-1 in the second set for Warren to claim the win.
Averett returns to action on April 3 at 3 p.m. to take on Ferrum College.
