DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's tennis team finished its regular season with a 9-0 loss to Piedmont College on Sunday afternoon.
Averett fell short in doubles play, but sophomores
Annalies Jobsis and
Riley Smith ended with a hard fought effort at the No. 3 spot, falling 8-6. Freshman
Hannah Mattson battled in three sets at the No. 1 spot in singles play but couldn't pull out win. Christian Wade defeated Mattson 6-2, 7-6, 7-3.
