SALEM, Va. — Averett University volleyball lost 3-0 at Roanoke College Sunday in its final non-conference match of the season. The Maroons won 25-18, 25-23, 25-12.
Averett (21-9) got six kills apiece from junior 
Hannah Shields and freshman 
Madison Dadez against Roanoke (17-6). Junior 
Christiana Summa led the Cougars with nine digs, while Shields and sophomore 
Keenan Marks each made eight digs. Marks also had 20 assists.
Averett travels to Methodist University on Tuesday for a make-up game against the Monarchs, which was originally postponed due to Hurricane Matthew earlier this month.
