DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University men's tennis dominated Emory & Henry College for an 8-1 non-conference victory Sunday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts in the team's final fall match.

Averett (2-0) swept all three doubles matches, including an 8-2 victory by freshmen Caius Blomqvist and Lauri Soome over Kamil Aliev and Luke Funkhouser at the No. 1 spot. Junior James Wright and freshman Nicolas Yanes won 8-1 at No. 2 and the tandem of sophomore Ariel Prieto and freshman Mathias Reusch won 8-0 at No. 3.

Blomqvist, Wright, Yanes, Quevedo and Prieto also won their singles matches in straight sets to finish off Emory & Henry (1-1).
