RALEIGH, N.C. — Averett University men's tennis swept William Peace University 9-0 for a USA South Conference victory Saturday to complete league play.
Averett (12-3, 8-2 USA South) dominated doubles play, winning all three positions 8-0.
Singles play was much the same. Freshman
Oliver Lindqvist topped William Peace's Patrick Ralph 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Meanwhile, junior
Nicolas Quevedo, sophomores
James Wright and
Carlos Lora, and freshman
Alfonso Jimenez and
Ariel Prieto all won without losing a game.
Averett gets one final non-conference test in the regular season against Hampden-Sydney College on Thursday before the start of the USA South Conference Tournament.
