Men's tennis shuts out Greensboro at home

DANVILLE, Va. – The Averett University men's tennis team took a 7-0 victory over Greensboro on Saturday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts. The remaining two matches of the day were called due to lightning in the area.

Nicolas Quevedo and Abduani Ganiev claimed an 8-0 win to help Averett (6-3, 3-2 USA South) snag its three wins in doubles. Later on, the Cougars sailed to four wins in singles. Carlos Lora and Quevedo won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

Averett returns to action on Wednesday to face Division II Chowan University at 4 p.m.
