FERRUM, Va. — The Averett University men's tennis team shutout Ferrum College with a 9-0 victory on Saturday afternoon. 

With two wins in the other doubles matches, Carlos Lora and Matthias Reusch snagged an 8-0 win at No. 3. Later on, the Cougars claimed more wins, including Caius Blomqvist's and Nicolas Quevedo's 6-1, 6-0 victories over their opponents. 

Averett returns to action on March 28 when it travels to Raleigh, North Carolina, to face William Peace University at 3 p.m.
