SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Averett University cross country team competed in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional on Saturday to conclude its 2021 season.

Rebekah Chase turned in the Cougars top time in the women's 6k with a 30:40.0, while senior
Jahdayna Samuels finished with a mark of 32:22.8.

In the men's 8k sophomore
Anthony Ponce-Mexicano finished 65th overall with a time of 27:46.8 and senior
Michael Nichols 32:22.8 to conclude Averett's run.

Saturday completed the Cougars 2021 season as they wrap up their time in the USA South Conference before transitioning to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference next season.Â
