BUENA VISTA, Va. — The Averett University women's basketball program dropped its first USA South game of the season with a 84-55 loss against Southern Virginia University Saturday afternoon inside Knight Arena.
Averett (2-7, 2-1 USA South) only shot 30 percent from the field while Southern Virginia (6-3, 4-0 USA South) shot 44 percent from the field to stay undefeated in conference play.
The Cougars were led by sophomore
Talia Prosper who set a career-high in points with 17 while also adding three steals and four rebounds.
Averett is back in action when they host the University of Mary Washington Tuesday Dec. 3rd at 3 p.m.
