DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University's men's golf team is ranked No. 7 in the nation according to the latest Golfstat.com Division III Top 25, which was released this week. In addition, sophomore Caleb Kimbrough is ranked No. 5 individually among the five Cougars ranked in the top 150.
 
The Cougars are coming off a sixth-place finish this week at the prestigious Savannah Invitational, where Kimbrough tied for third individually with a score of 4-under-par during the 54-hole event. Kimbrough earned a spot on the all-tournament team as a result.
 
In addition to Kimbrough, freshman Casper Andersen is ranked No. 57, senior Jorgen Buskbjerg is ranked No. 79, senior Renan Leveissiere is No. 124 and freshman Casper Mellby is No. 139 through Golfstat, which ranks the top 150 players.
