DANVILLE Va. – Averett University men's soccer lost 4-2 to Shenandoah University during Senior Night on Saturday on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
In the 24th minute, Nathan Yared gave the Shenandoah (4-5-6) a 1-0 lead.

Hayden Brown gave Averett (4-9-3) a goal on a penalty kick in the 47th minute to tie the Hornets 1-1.
Shenandoah tacked on three insurance goals in the second half to take a 4-1 lead.
In a late attempt to cut the difference,
Anton Lindberg found the back of the net after he was assisted by fellow Cougar
Diego Giffuni on a corner kick to make the score 4-2.
The Cougars are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Lynchburg, Virginia to face Randolph College at 7 p.m.
