HIGH POINT, N.C. — Averett University's IHSA team opened the fall by traveling to High Point University on Saturday for the Zone 4 Region 5 season opener.
To begin the show day, senior
Breanna Gemmell placed fourth in Limit Fences after putting in a great ride in a very competitive class. Sophomore
Paige Johnson started the season out strong earning a well-deserved first place after a beautiful ride in Limit Flat. Also competing in Limit Flat, Gemmell placed third after a great ride on a very pleasant horse. To end the day, junior
Alex Davis and sophomore
Kayla Richmond competed in Novice Flat, placing fifth and sixth, respectively.
