LAURINBURG, N.C. — Averett University's IDA team traveled to St. Andrews University for the final IDA show of the semester. Senior Breanna Gemmell was awarded High Point Rider of the show.

Starting the team off at First Level, senior Annie Morgan was awarded first place with a score of 69% on her test. Also riding at First Level (individual), freshman Iselle Longman placed second with a score of 68 percent. Gemmell rode at Upper Training, placing first with a solid score of 72 percent. Senior Rebecca Nelson put in a good ride on a tough horse at Lower Training, placing seventh with a score of 61 percent. Lastly, junior Alex Davis put in a solid ride at Intro level, placing third with a 65 percent.

For Dressage Seat Equitation (DSE), in First Level, Morgan put in a solid ride on a tough horse and placed fifth, along with Longman placing third. Riding as an individual in Upper Training, sophomore Paige Johnson placed second, following Gemmell placing first, also at Upper Training. Nelson rode at Lower Training, placing first with a great ride. Davis put in a good effort, placing sixth at Intro.
