DANVILLE, VA. — The Averett University men's tennis program blew past William Peace University 9-0 on Saturday Afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts.
Averett (6-3, 1-0 USA South) did not drop a single match to William Peace (0-2, 0-1 USA South) in both teams conference opener.
Sophomore
Rufus Nurminen picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles which proved to be the tightest singles match of the afternoon. Junior

Maksim Sukhomlinov,
Josh Bottrell,
Philipp Bohnenkamp and
Aleki Gomez also all won in straight sets.
Averett also swept the Pacers in doubles action not giving up a single point.
The Cougars are back in action when they travel to Division II Johnson C. Smith University next Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m.
