Box Score DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University men's tennis program earned a 5-2 victory over Division II Shaw University on Saturday Afternoon.
Averett (1-3) was able to complete a clean sweep in doubles play over the Shaw (0-3) with the match being played at Division II regulations. Sophomore

Martinho Goncalves earned a win at No. 1 doubles while junior
Jorge Figueroa freshman
Shori Nishizoe also picked up a win for the Cougars at the No.3 doubles slot.
Figueroa, Nurminen, Nishizoe and Goncalves also all picked up wins in singles action, respectively.
The Cougars are back in action when they host Virginia Wesleyan University Sunday at 2 p.m.
