DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's lacrosse team rolled past William Peace University 20-1 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell.
Averett (6-3, 3-1 USA South) honored eight seniors before the game and have now out scored its opponents 42-1 in its last two games.
The Cougars led William Peace (1-9, 0-6 USA South) 15-0 at the half.
Graduate student
Elizabeth Peasley netted a hat trick while also adding two assists. Senior
Adriana Perez also scored a hat trick along with junior
Kelsey Steckroth. Freshman
Faith Bowlin led the Cougars with four goals and also added two assists.
Junior
Raven Felder found the back of the net while junior
Morgan Dearing, and seniors
Hannah Mae Ayers and Courtney Delone all scored two goals each.
Averett is back in action when they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan College on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
