DANVILLE, Va.— The Averett University women's lacrosse team earned a pivotal USA South win over Pfeiffer University 17-8 Saturday afternoon on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
Averett (8-3, 6-1 USA South) has now won five games in a row and was led by graduate student
Elizabeth Peasley who tallied six goals and one assist while senior
Adriana Perez pitched in with five goals.
The Cougars were able to jump out to an early 6-2 lead over Pfeiffer
(3-9, 2-4 USA South) to set the tone early. Averett led 10-5 at half and added six more goals in the third quarter to cruise to another conference victory.

The Cougars are back at home again Wednesday when they host Hollins University at 7 p.m.
