Women's soccer drops match to Bridgewater on Homecoming

DANVILLE, Va. - Averett University women's soccer fell to Bridgewater College 6-0 Saturday night on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.

The Cougars trailed 2-0 headed into the second half. In the second half Bridgewater pulled away for four additional goals.

Sophomore Celia de Diego and junior Asia Williams each recorded a shot for Averett. Freshman goalkeeper Tiia Chrons made nine saves between the pipes.

Averett is back in action Wednesday, Oct. 18 at home against Hollins University at 7 p.m.
