DANVILLE, Va. - Averett University men's lacrosse fell to Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Randolph-Macon College on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Cougars home finale 31-1.
Averett (3-10, 1-7 ODAC) notched a quick goal by freshman
Tyler Duffey at 13:27 in the first to open up scoring. Randolph-Macon (11-5, 6-2 ODAC) answered back at 11:43 to open up a 24 goal scoring run for the offensively-loaded Yellow Jackets.
Duffey netted two goals in the game while junior
Connor Taff had one goal and one assist. Freshman
Cameron Prutzman made 16 saves in the cage for the Cougars. As a team, Averett scooped up 15 ground balls.
Averett is back in action next Saturday when it travels to rival Ferrum College for a 7 p.m. start time!
