ELON, N.C. — Averett University cross country completed the Elon University Opener on Friday night.
Sophomore
Carter Erickson completed the 6k event with a time of 23:24.1. Sophomore
Jackson Higgins crossed the finish line 23:30.1 Freshman Ke'Vannio Smith finished the race with a time of 24:41.2.
In the women's 4k, freshman
Carlota Gonzalez finished at the 19:16.4 mark. Sophomore
Hannah Zabik completed the race with a time of 19:23.3.
Kailey Gates finished at the 20:21.7 mark.
The Cougars are back in action on Sept. 16 when they compete in the Pfeiffer University Invitational.
