VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Averett University men's tennis opened up its Fall campaign at the the Virginia Wesleyan University Marlin Fall Invite on Friday.

In individual play Averett won eight out of 10 singles matches against former conference rival Methodist.
Jaeden Mukkaladyil defeated D. Guanieri (6-1, 6-2)
Prabjeet Chandhok defeated C. Tihanvouvich (6-1, 6-2)
Kazuki Fukushima defeated W. Trocchi (6-0, 6-0)
Fredrik Friberg defeated C. Roth (6-0, 6-1)
Gero Siebert defeated E. Kane (6-3, 4-6, 10-7)
Philipp Bohnenkamp defeated B. Mendler (6-0, 6-0)
Sam Egui defeated R. South (6-0, 6-1)
Nikita Dashkov defeated N. Johnston (6-0, 6-0)

Averett won four out of five doubles matches against Methodist.
Alex Donnelly and Philipp Bohnenkamp defeated W. Trocchi and D. Guanieri 8-6
Jaeden Mukkaladyil and Fredrik Friberg defeated C. Roth and E. Kane 8-0
Prabjeet Chandhok and Gero Siebert defeated E. Kane and B. Mendler 8-1
Nikita Dashkov and Sam Egui defeated R. South and W. Johnston 8-0.

In all Averett won 12 out of 15 matches against Methodist.
Averett continues play at the Marlin Invite tomorrow.
