Men's soccer draws with EMU

HARRISONBURG Va. — Averett University men's soccer drew with Eastern Mennonite University 0-0 on Saturday night.

It was an evenly matched game for 90 minutes, neither team could get the upper hand. Averett (4-1-3, 1-0-1 ODAC) recorded 11 shots and EMU (4-2-2, 1-0-2 ODAC) tallied 10. Sophomore Anibal Lopez had an impressive outing, recording 5 saves in his third start of his career at Averett.

The Cougars are back in action on Wednesday when they host Ferrum College at 5 p.m. on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
