DANVILLE, Va - Averett University women's volleyball (8-10, 3-2 ODAC) secured a 3-1 conference victory over Shenandoah University (7-9, 0-4 ODAC) at home on Friday.
Prior to the game, the team recognized graduate student
Emma Nash for 1000 career kills, and senior
Kinsley Stevens for 2000 career assists as they were surrounded by teammates and family.
Shenandoah took set one 25-23, Averett took the second, third, and fourth set 25-23, 25-20, 25-17.
Freshman
Emily McIntosh executed 11 kills while Nash and sophomore
Hope Parrish each had 10. Junior
Dayton Moore lead the team with 24 assists while fellow setter Stevens had 15. Fifth year libero and ODAC Defensive Player of the Week
Erin Gray had 22 digs, while junior
Rachel Green trailed with 16.
Averett is back home on Saturday when it faces Eastern Mennonite University at 12 p.m.
