ROANOKE, Va. — Freshman Ana Herrera earned her first collegiate victory as Averett University women's tennis cruised past Hollins University for a 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference win on Sunday afternoon in the second of two matches on the day.

Averett (2-1, 2-0 ODAC), which beat Roanoke College 5-0 earlier in the morning, made quick work of Hollins on Sunday afternoon in first taking all three doubles matches by an 8-0 score, including a No. 1 win by freshmen duo of Annika Kellerer and Siddhi Khandelwal. Sophomore Brenda Poulakidas and Herrera won at No. 2, with sophomore Harshri Asher and freshman Siddhi Khot earning the win at No. 3

Freshman Jennika Jaison, freshman Dilara Sultanova, Khot, Kellerer, sophomore Elisa Battermann and Herrera all won their respective singles matches in straight sets.
 
Averett travels to play Division II Belmont Abbey College on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
