DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University freshman sprinter Zaiyon Evans was named to the 2024 Virginia Sports Information Directors College Division All-State Team for men's indoor track and field, the organization announced Thursday.

Evans, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, placed third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's Indoor Championships on Feb. 25 for a podium finish and All-ODAC Third Team honors. Evans was named Freshman Male Athlete of the Year at Averett's Night of Champions in combination to his success during outdoor track season.

The VaSID College Division is comprised of all non-Division I schools in Virginia.
