DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University men's basketball released its full schedule with tip-off times for the 2025-26 campaign, which tips off in November.

The Cougars open the season at home on Friday, Nov. 7, against St. Mary's College of Maryland for a 6 p.m. start. Averett's first official road action follows shortly after, with a trip to Southern Virginia University on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

"Our staff is extremely excited about our non conference schedule," said Averett men's basketball coach David Doino, who enters his 12th season. "We feel like we will challenge our guys to adapt to different styles from game to game and will help us get ready for a league that presents those challenges with every opponent. We will need to be extremely focused to do what we do, to the best of our ability every night in order to give ourselves a chance to be successful."

Averett's fourth season as a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference begins on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Danville against Washington and Lee University.

Other highlights include a couple of big contests against Division I opponents, with an exhibition at High Point University on Nov. 8 and a road game at Longwood University on Dec. 28. Averett's home and season slate concludes with a visit from Eastern Mennonite University on Feb. 21, with Senior Day festivities set to commence before tip-off.

ODAC postseason play is scheduled to set off on Feb. 24.
