FOREST, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2025 fall ODAC sportsmanship teams on Wednesday in each of the conference's six sponsored sports. Six Averett University student-athletes were selected to the list. Across all eligible sports, 78 student-athletes within the ODAC were honored.
Among those honored for the Cougars were football senior
Jacob Lemon, men's soccer senior
Nicholas Breen, women's soccer senior
Marlee Luckett, men's cross country senior
Azael Quintero, women's cross country senior
Alheli Ramos-Garcia, and women's volleyball senior
Dayton Moore.
The squads are composed of a student-athlete selected by the coaching staffs of each team competing under the conference banner with all sports and schools fully represented.
"Sportsmanship and respect are fundamental to the ODAC's mission," said ODAC Commissioner Brad Bankston. "These student-athletes have been recognized for their commitment to fair play and respect for their opponents—qualities that deserve greater recognition. I thank these honorees for setting an outstanding example for all of us."
The ODAC has a rich tradition in promoting fair play and good sportsmanship in each sport across the league. The character of the conference's student-athletes on and off the field is a representation of not only the individuals and teams, but also the institutions for which they play.
