PROVIDENCE, N.C. — Averett University hosted its first IHSA show of the spring semester over the weekend. Freshman Carly Williams received Reserve High Point Rider for the Cougars.
Sunday kicked off with senior
Paige Johnson in Open Fences. Johnson had a good ride, placing third. Next was Williams, riding in Limit Fences, she had a nice ride and also placed third.
To close out the day were the flat classes. Johnson rode in Open Flat and had a technical ride, placing sixth place. Williams had a great ride in Limit Flat, receiving first place. Freshman Elize Idén rode in Novice Flat, with a lovely ride and received first place. Sophomores Allie Wilkerson and Allison White competed in Pre-Novice Flat, placing second and first, respectively. Lastly, sophomore Abigail Sander had a solid ride placing fourth.
