Ashland, Va. – Averett University women's soccer lost to Randolph-Macon College in its first conference road test of the season.
Averett (1-6-1, 0-2-0 ODAC) took the trip north to face Randolph-Macon (4-3-2, 2-0-0 ODAC) and left town with a 12-0 loss.
The Cougars starting XI battled hard for all 90 minutes, playing with just 11 players after a bite from the injury bug. Junior
Krista Hinebaugh pulled in 11 saves in front of Averett's net.
Averett women's soccer returns to the field on Oct. 4 to take on the University of Lynchburg on home turf at 3 p.m.
