DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University track & field's full indoor and outdoor event slate has been released, with the Cougars competing in a number of key events under second-year leader
Annika Seuschek.
"I am excited to see the dedication and hard work from our athletes show at our meets this year," Seuschek said. "This year's roster has committed returners hungry for more records and new athletes that have great talent ready to make their mark on the track as a track and field Cougar!"
The Cougars head to nearby Liberty University for its indoor opener at the Liberty University Indoor Open on Jan. 23. Averett then competes at two straight opens hosted by Roanoke College before the Old Dominion Athletic Conference indoor championships take place on Feb. 28 through March 1 in Salem, Virginia.
The indoor season finishes with nationals, at Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama from March 13-14.
Two weeks later, Averett takes to the outdoor scene, heading to the University of Lynchburg for the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational from March 27-28. The ODAC outdoor championship will be from Apr. 25-26 at Eastern Mennonite University's track facility.
The overall season concludes at NCAAs in La Crosse, Wisconsin from May 21-23 at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex.
